Quote 2:
" Not cry? We're on the threshold of death... soon we shal have crossed over... don't you understand? How could I not cry?" (Pg. 45 Yechiel)
Analysis:
He is pretty much saying that they have no choice anymore, that now, they have to give up. They don't have a chance to get away, that chance or decision was over when they left their homes in the first place. Everyone is going to die and you never know who will be the next to step on the threshold of death. Watching your family die will be hard and your going to break down eventually.

Quote's Section 2
Quote 1:
"We've got to do something. We can't let ourselves be killed. We can't go like beast's to the slaughter. We've got to revolt." (Pg. 40)
Analysis:
Whenever you finally realize something like this, what is really happening and how much different it is from what you were told, it's going to be stressful. They know they were lied to. They were fools for believing that they were being saved. They should have known nothing would get better. They have nowhere to hide now so they might have to think up a plan and do everything they are asked before they are killed and have nothing left to do.

Quote 1 :
“I’m too old my son,” he replied. “ I’m too old to start a new life. I’m too old to start from scratch again in a country so far away” (pg. 18)
Analysis:
This quote is saying that he can’t live a better life, because everything that happened was for him. He can’t start over when he already lived through this. What he had seen made him scared and he worried about his life. He is too old to help anyone or start over after he had already grown old and lived through all of it.
This quote just makes me think of everyone who had to live through the holocaust or through war and how tough it had to be on them. Everyone has something major happen in their life but sometimes, it changes who you are because you live in fear afterwards, like how i was whenever my dad committed suicide. It makes every perspective you have toward other people change.

*.Snapshotof Augusta.*
Up and down the hills on your way to Augusta,
you get further and further away from the city life. Coming close to all of the people of their homeland that they
love dearly.
Looking to the left, you see fields. There are tractors and
pick-up trucks in every drive way. There are houses, all of them big enough for whoever lives there, and small enough for comfort.
Everyone will know who you are, and they will wave. The
hillbillies on their front porch drinkin beer and havin a good old time. Children will run around and ride bikes. The older kids will be on trampolines, and climbing trees, doing wrekless things, because down in Augusta, you make your own fun. No cell phones work up there so we find things to occupy ourselves. Almost everyone by the age of 12 knows how to drive and we just go back and forth, down the dirt roads.
Many people will get you to go out and race fourwheelers. It's almost like a life game out there in the country. We look for cops, but none ever come back to that part, because everyones good. Well for us, country hillbillies, were about as good as we can get.
The fields, the barns, they all smell like dirty animals, and manuer, but we are used to it. It's an amazing place and nobody has to worry about anything, because there hasn't been much crime or anything up there in a long while. It is creepy at night though, because it's surrounded by woods.
Waking up to the sound of Roosters every morning is peaceful.
I love going to Augusta, and when I go I try to stay as long as I can.

A Good Listener : Of Mice and Men
One situation in Of Mice and Men is whenever Lennie is listening to Crooks and what he has to say. Crooks doesn't have to worry about him repeating it because he's very forgetful. He confided in Lennie.
I was able to confide in my father when he was alive. He did betray me and told people stuff i said, which got him in lots of truble, but that was after years and years of me telling him things. I love when people tell me things because they know they can trust me and i feel helpful whenever i know ow to make them feel better because i know what they have been through.

Lost
I have felt singled out, picked on, and made fun of many times. I always am being made fun of, because of the clothes I wear, or who I talk to, and just stupid things. I think everyone Gets picked on at some point in their life. I remember the time I got picked on so much I didn't want to live anymore. That time was when my dad committed suicide. It was over the summer of 2010.
Everybody was scared of my dad, so they wouldn't make fun of me or tell me anything because they knew my dad would do something about it. He did alot of wrong things to me, and he was going to be getting in a lot of trouble. I guess he didn't want to go to jail, so the day after I turned thirteen, my father ended his life. It was tragic, and unexpected, and I was so sad, I went away for about 3 weeks, to be with his family.
That was when i started getting made fun of. People texted me, and told me they knew what happened and they thought it was funny. I tried to ignore everyone, so the place I went to, my phone stayed off the whole time. I figured, people couldn't pick on me or anything when i was far away from home with no phone. But the people back home were the least of my worries.
Nobody would look me in the eyes, and when they did, they started crying and then said that they were sorry, which made me feel even worse. Then i would cry. About a week after he died, we had a thing for all of his friends, and family. That was the worst disaster ever. My grandmother, my dad's own father cussed all of us out, and pretty much told me it was my fault my dad was dead, and a few more things I can't repeat. We had to threaten to call the cops so they would leave. I got my food, and walked really deep into the woods, and tried to ignore everyone. I felt so lonely, and left out.
My dad's best friends wife, was the first one who noticed i was missing, and came out to look for me. It made me feel much better. But when summer was over, and I had to go to school, I got picked on worse than ever, all because I had nobody to protect me anymore.
